For more than a decade, I have developed my skills as a generalist capable of placing a topic within the bigger picture of sustainability. From advisory, basic research and data collection to editing, adding contextualising content and drafting full reports; and from consensus-creation in multi-stakeholder projects to overseeing/managing their development. My dedication to getting a task done has made me become known as a bit of a mountain mover – a label I try to own when I occasionally go off-grid and attempt to climb the real ones.
I am a very visual person, working extensively with infographics, expressive graphs – in print and interactive form online – to change the way we communicate about economics, energy and climate change. I believe presentation is key and will analyse any task based on the desired messages and prospective audience. Meaningful micro-sites visualising information through maps, interactive reports, and other digital tools are tools through which I broaden a client’s outreach. Using this approach, I seek to help clients in providing relevant recommendations, to address research issues and to present knowledge in a visually impactful way.
I am fluent in networking and an embracing event host, and also occasionally give talks per request. My education was at the University of Copenhagen and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, where I earned separate masters in macroeconomics and international relations with a focus on development and environmental issues; I hold diplomas in European relations as well. Things that I like: Niceness in business. To make things simpler, smarter, change-enabling, more helpful and more beautiful. Get in touch. I never say no to a cup of tea.
Upon careful reviewing my clients’ portfolio of publications, I equip them with a tailored package of process tools that enables them to confidently take a report from cradle to print. Knowing what components to include in a sensible production plan, when to work on each of these, what to ask of the people necessary for the process, and at which point, is critical for any organisation to be able to plan and adhere to a publication deadline. The tools I provide address all aspects of the publication process, including protocols and checklists for the different parties involved and workflow planners to help my clients be as efficient as possible.
STRATEGY & FACILITATION
Based on my informed global perspective on sustainability and experience with publishing, my clients entrust me the role as a connoisseur for a modern, subject-sensitive visualisation of their work. Interactive maps and graphs can bring new life to publications, databases and website content. Perhaps an exciting micro-site will do the trick. Together we develop a considered strategy; purposed to elevate information, and to engage beyond the target audience. Tapping into my growing network of creative agencies and talented editors, I pair my clients with a publishing team whose aesthetics best suit their organisation.
Off-track with an important publication? Even the best of content can go unnoticed if a report is not well-structured or does not offer its readers compelling, succinct messages. A plethora of unexplained figures can take the focus away from the key objectives. Perhaps data classifications are not harmonised in a multi-author project. And there are real legal consequences of not acquiring proper reprint permissions for data and figures. I provide effective support to help my clients make the most of their existing content and publish successfully.
